We Have Iré is a new multidisciplinary theater work by Flores, that explores true stories of immigrant Cuban artists living in the United States through their experiences with and impact on American culture.

Shaped by Flores’ research the performance centers around the dream of becoming an artist and the risk of breaking with your family in pursuit of that dream. Four Cuban artists together for one night at a club in San Francisco. Christian is a Cuban-American poet on his way to the Havana Poetry Festival. The night before he leaves, Christian goes to a dance party thrown by DJ Nené, featuring Afro-Cuban musician Jony and dancer Monchi. The four of them tell stories, dance, and sing about their dreams, journeys, and secrets. Each of them revealing how they were “blessed” with (iré) enough to travel and find a deeper purpose and help make a community tighter through sharing their music and dance in a new country.
